When Hayden Ivey was 1 1/2, he suffered from chronic and severe eczema. An allergy test revealed he had dairy, egg and peanut allergies.

The diagnosis prompted “a real lifestyle change” for Hayden’s family, said his mom, Kathryn Ivey of Summerville. “I read every single label and only leave Hayden with family members who understand his allergy and are trained on how to use his Epi-pen.”

Now 4, Hayden has outgrown both his dairy and egg allergies. But peanuts are still a problem. Read more...
